Calling all University Synagogue 8th – 12th graders!

Are you a leader?

Do you like working with kids?

Do you want to get involved in a new and exciting way at University Synagogue?

If the answer is YES to any of these questions, the Madrichim program at University Synagogue is calling your name! The Hebrew word madrich means “leader” or “counselor.” It is derived from the word derech, which means “path” or “way.” At University Synagogue, after B’nei Mitzvah, students have the opportunity to learn about leadership as they lead younger students along their Jewish educational path. We invite you to apply for this special program that will enable you to learn and practice different leadership styles and develop teaching skills. And did I mention you get to be part of an awesome teaching staff?

The application for the 13-14 Madrichim program is attached. Please complete it and return it to Jessica Downey, the Director of Congregational Engagement and Religious Education via mail, in person, or email (JDowney@UniSyn.org) by August 13th.
