Rabbi Denise Eger is the 60th President of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, becoming the first openly gay or lesbian rabbi to be so honored. Past President of the Southern California Board of Rabbis (the first woman and openly gay person to do so) and the Pacific Association of Reform Rabbis, she is the founding Rabbi of Congregation Kol Ami in West Hollywood. Activist and author, she is a contributor to the new collection The Sacred Calling: Four Decades of Women in the Rabbinate
