Leaving a Lasting Legacy
Pillar members provide a level of commitment that helps ensure the highest quality of synagogue programming and service to our congregants – making it possible for us to fulfill our mission to become a model synagogue for the 21st century.
Our pillar members meet regularly for special events throughout the year to connect, network and celebrate special moments and events in our community.
Simchas and Memories
A meaningful way to honor the happy events of your family’s life such as B’nei Mitzvah, weddings, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, special honors, achievements and more. As our simchas grow, so does our Tree of Life. Become a lasting part of University Synagogue’s history and contribute to our future at the same time!
Offering a tzedakah contribution in memory of a loved one is a time-honored tradition – and your perpetual tribute will be a part of our congregation’s home for years to come. Includes annual listing in Book of Remembrance on Yom Kippur and perpetual reading of your loved one’s name on their yahrzeit.
Plaques are available for $750.
Honor the memory of your loved ones by making a contribution remembering their Yahrzeit to one of our special, dedicated funds, or for the general synagogue community.

Help support University Synagogue’s music program with an inspiration afternoon of music and love.
The Heroes Among US Gala Dinner and Auction is held each year to recognize the important contributions that our honorees have made to the synagogue and the surrounding community. Proceeds from this event will provide tuition assistance to ECLC and Religious School students, as well as make a huge impact in the types of programming and services we are able to make to our community.
During the High Holy Days, members can contribute to the synagogue by supporting our community during the holiest and most sacred time of the year. This important annual gift drive helps to sustain our community and begin the sweet new year with the spirit of giving and support.
